About Our Process
Q: How much do you charge?
Unfortunately, we can’t provide pricing based on a building’s square footage or give general estimates, because each project is individual and has its own unique requirements.
Q: Do I need a deposit down?
This can be project specific, but typically, we do not require a deposit.
Q: How long can I expect construction to take?
Just like pricing, each project is stand-alone, and your timeline will depend on the unique factors of your project. Smaller, less complex buildings typically will be completed much more quickly than larger or highly complex buildings.
Q: How long will it take to get me a price on my project?
Caprock will have a preliminary budget for your project ready for review within 10 days of your first meeting.
Q: How far will you travel? What areas do you serve?
While we typically serve the Texas Panhandle, we have traveled as far as Kentucky and Illinois to oversee construction projects. If you aren’t located in Texas, we’d still love to hear from you to see whether we could be a good fit.

Caprock Building Systems specializes in steel construction for industrial and commercial applications. We also perform steel roofing projects.
Q: What kinds of projects do you NOT do?
We do not build carports or oversee carport construction.
Q: What makes you different from other contractors?
Caprock is a general contractor as well as subcontractor for projects involving pre-engineered metal buildings, structural steel, and miscellaneous steel.
Q: Can I see some pictures of any projects that you have done like the one we are discussing?

Caprock Building Systems was founded in 2003, but our expertise goes back even further. Owner Mark Gilbreath has been involved in steel construction in the Amarillo area since 1994.
Q: Do you self-perform your own work?
Our team will often handle our own steel construction projects. For some projects, however, we may work with a select group of subcontractors that we trust and have partnered with many times in the past. We will only work with subcontractors whose work is up to our standards in terms of quality, safety, and expediency.
Q: Where are you licensed to work?
Caprock Building Systems is licensed to work in Texas as well as New Mexico.
Q: Do you do insurance work?
Yes, we do. We are a fully licensed and bonded steel roofing contractor.
